ATS and Duval Asphalt Team Members Complete First Warrior Volunteer Program Training

On April 22nd, Duval Asphalt and ATS proudly launched the first Warrior Volunteer Program training — a powerful initiative focused on supporting teammate mental health in the field. Developed in partnership with Ajax Paving, the program was led by Coral Todd, Duval Asphalt EHS Director, and Eric Green, Ajax Paving Industries Safety Regional Manager.

Volunteers received in-depth training on recognizing and managing mental health crises, equipping them with practical tools to support their coworkers when it matters most. Participants praised both the program and Eric’s impactful training, highlighting the valuable knowledge gained and its importance in promoting a safer, more supportive work environment:

“This Warrior meeting was very appreciated. It really hit home for me. I truly understand the warning sign. I wish I had this training 5 years ago. Eric Green did a fantastic job with his training. Can't wait for the next meeting.”

"I'm grateful to be able to work for a company that's dedicated to helping the people who work for them. This training was vital to me. It gave me tools that I need in the event of an emergency situation and the confidence to take on such a task if needed. Thank you, guys."

"I truly appreciated the Vital Cog training, and the time Eric Green took with the group, it provided me with valuable insight and practical tools that helped me feel more confident and prepared to engage in conversations around suicide prevention. The training not only deepened my understanding of the warning signs and risk factors but also empowered me to support others with empathy and awareness. It was an important step in strengthening my ability as a part of the Duval Family to make a positive difference with Team Members, Friends and in my community."

Mental health matters — and we’re proud to take this step toward building a stronger, more resilient team. 🖤 🧡
